Reload and Raven Colored

Hey everyone! I though I would try something different for this description. I’ve seen a lot of stuff from *JessicaElwood were she had ~MoCaW write her a short story to go along with the picture. So I though I would give it a try, except I wrote my own.

Anyways, this is the colored version of a gift picture my friend *Pepeu had drawn for me for the other colored versions I did for him. I asked him to draw my original character from a story I’m starting to write. He decided to throw Raven in there also and I didn’t mind. In the short story he and Raven have a little discussion on their way to have pictures taken with the other titans.

“Come on Raven! Beast Boy wanted us down there ten minutes ago!” Reload knocked and yelled through Raven’s door. Hearing only a short groan he leaned against the door with a sigh. “It won’t be that bad. It’s not like he’s making us do this in a public place. Just try your best not to abuse the kid. For him it’s kind of a family picture day.”

A moment after saying this, Raven’s door opened and Reload fell on his back into her room. He looked up to see her in a simple pair of jeans and a dark purple shirt. With her hands on her hips, she looked down on him with a smirk.

“This better take less than five minutes or someone is going to get hurt.” She started out her room toward the elevator.

Reload jumped up, closed the door behind him, and caught up. “So why aren’t you wearing anything different?” She asked.

“It’s not my fault I already look casual. Plus, he told you to match me.”

“Then why are you still armed?” Raven pointed down to indicate his gun belt.

“You know me. I like to have them with me just in case.” They turned a corner.

“You owe me now.” Raven stated. “You know that right?”

“Yeah, I know. At least Beast Boy will be happy.”

Reload pressed the call button for the elevator and it opened right up. He let Raven enter first and stepped in and pressed the panel for the ground floor. With a ding the doors closed.

He stepped in front of Raven and looked into her eyes. “You know, we need to find some time to talk about us.” As her eyes fell to the floor her face was still composed, but had a hint of hesitation.

“John…” she quietly responded.

“Okay. I’m sorry I brought it up.” Reload quickly said. “How about after we’re done here we do some reading together? How’s that sound?”

She looked back up and her faced was back to normal. “How about some Shakespeare? Hamlet maybe?”

“How about Othello?” Raven suggested.

A second before the elevator doors opened to the living room, their eyes connected and both grinned.

The doors open and Beast Boy jumps in front of them. “Strike a pose and say cheese.” He said and aimed the camera.

Reload pulled out one pistol, on safety, and aimed it off to the side. Raven put one hand out and the other upwards. Both smiled and said “Macbeth!”
